Case study · The Waterfront, Portreath

Pen and paper,
until this.

The Waterfront is a harbourside pub in Portreath, Cornwall. It had looked at every booking system on the market and turned all of them down.

£150 a month for a booking button.

That is roughly what the big booking sites wanted, and for it The Waterfront would have got a booking button carrying someone else's branding, putting their guests on someone else's list. The venue would do the work; the platform would keep the relationship.

They decided it wasn't worth it and stayed on pen and paper with a form that emailed them — which is its own kind of answer. So we built them their own instead.

£150 a month, or £49.

£150£49/ month, flat

A booking page that's properly theirs, at a price that won't go up as they get busier.

What we built for them.

Their branding

The Waterfront's own page

A booking page in the pub's own colours, logo and name. Guests book with The Waterfront, and never see ClickBook at all.

Their tables

Set up, ready to go

We mapped out their tables and service times and handed it over working. No setup work landed on the pub.

Their guests

A list that's theirs

Every booking adds a real, opted-in guest to a list the pub owns and keeps, not one held hostage by a platform.
